whereyougonnabe beta released

Peter Batty’s Whereyougonnabe has been released in beta. This is a social networking concept that lets you specify, on a map of course, where you are going to be and when you are going to be there. It shows you which of your friends are going to be roughly at the same time at the same place, so you can meet up.

This is currently integrated with Facebook, but according to Peter they are also looking to integrate it with LinkedIn. Perhaps it’d also be nice (and this is a bit of a stretch) if it could link with Facebook’s “Where I’ve Been” application and update those maps.

I’ve seen a preview of this service as part of Peter’s keynote speech at the FME User Conference back in March and was very impressed by it back then. Nice to see it made it into the real world.
